SGI Canada Educators' Perspectives on Creating Value in the Teaching and Learning Environment

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the perspectives and experiences educators who practice Soka (value-creating) pedagogy in their teaching learning environment. Methodology: participants were teaching, or had taught, a formal public private education system Canada also affiliated with Gakkai International Association Educators Group. An online survey distributed describing requesting participation semi-structured interview. Fourteen respondents chosen for an Results: study’s findings revealed important themes concerning how positively influenced educators’ relationships students, teachers structured environment, perceived role as educators, teachers’ Buddhist spiritual inspired guided application education. Limitations: are best interpreted within limitation selecting from teacher population that would likely perceive largely favorable light. Contribution: Our research poses potential inquiries further study, given novelty finding identified used inspire advance teaching. This aspect is not widely represented date discourse may have implications future investigation.
